I'd recommended making one intake at a time. Remove all the parts from one sheet and assemble each intake separately.
When removing the parts from the sheet don't bother sanding off the burnt brown edges.
You will want to remove the hold down ticks from the inside slot of Parts I. I used a flat diamond file to knock them down. The raised tic will prevent the edges from seating well on Part R.
The instructions are vague about gluing. Note the drawn bottles of glue on the instructions. The black nozzle glue indicates to use CA. The white nozzle glue is white or carpenter's glue.
Although it isn't indicated, glue the O piece on the end of the R piece base. Don't glue the twist pieces P and Q yet.
In the picture I purposely slid the O piece to the right so you can see the wider gap on the right of the slot.
When gluing this piece, center it with even gap space on either side of the slot.
Here's how the assembly looks at Step 4.
The end piece O is glued on.
The twist pieces are in place but not glued yet.
The part I side wall is attached one side at a time.
Concentrate on curving the long bottom leg first.
You'll be locking in the twist pieces and pressing in the curve leg tabs at the same time.
No glue is applied yet! Wait until the unit sides are in place before gluing anything. Don't worry, when assembled it will stay together with the tab and slot fit alone.
