Sandman Decals used the OOP Alps printers, a specialized unit that could print white and metallic decals. Home and office inkjet and laser printers only use red, yellow blue and black.
Sorry to hear this, I have rockets with Gordon's decals. They were always great quality and transferred easily.
Gordon did add he still makes custom nose cones and adapters.
Chris, I have an alps printer and I do make decals but not for resale. Since you have given so much of you time to the Rocketry hobby I will make you decals if needed just let me know. Free of charge. David.
ReplyDeleteSad to see another rocketry vendor closing shop. I ordered several sets of decals from Sandman a couple of months ago for the first time for some clones I was building. Also ordered two MX missile nose cones, one for the missile and one for a mini mars lander. Excellent custom turning and price, fast turnaround time. Tried BMS, they don't do custom nose cones any more. Wishing you the best, Gordon!
