Estes Black Brant III, Final Finished

Fixed!
This is much better. The double layered white decals weren't that hard to do, it just took extra time.
The double layer of white isn't thick or too high off the surface.
The black NRC meatball logo shows a little transparency, but I can live with that.

  2. Hi Chris,
Excellent build of this rocket. I love the Black Brant III. Its design is simple, sleek, and light. Everything a rocket should be. I launched mine with a C6-7 recently at a nearby park. The conditions were good visibility with little to no wind. Wow, talk about a screamer! I lost sight of it until the yellow parachute deployed. It was easy to spot against the clear sky. It landed maybe 50 meters from the launch pad. For me model rocketry never gets old. I can tell it's the same way with you and those who follow this blog.

    1. Hi Jimmy,
I agree - The whole series of the Black Brant rockets are beautiful designs.
A sleek, BT-50 model like this would scream with a C6 motor.
Rocketry hasn't "gotten old" for me either. When I launch and recover (for a moment) I'm 13 years old again.
