The Pershing profile is made up of three separate sections.
From the bottom up, the BT-100 lower body tube,
the middle section is made up of three nested shroud sections, the top is a conical balsa nose cone.
I didn't want to use the three kit supplied shroud sections and take the risk of screwing one up so I redrew them. Plenty extras were printed up on 110 lb. card stock.
Even when the shroud sections are this large they can still be pre-curled by rolling and pressing a dowel over the card stock in the palm of your hand.
Try this method try on all size shrouds. No creases or crimps, just smooth sided shrouds.
TIP: Try a glue stick on shroud tabs! It doesn't over wet the card stock and you have time to re-position if needed.
TIP: Apply the glue to the inside opposite the "glue tab".
When the shroud ends are joined the glue won't be pressed out onto the outside surface of the shroud. Any excess glue stays inside the shroud, out of sight!
