New Way A-20 Demon Build Part 2, More Parts

Normally it takes one blog post to show the parts, but this kit is so different (and complete) it'll take two.

On the upper left are the centering rings. Round in the middle for the 24mm engine mount tube, with the outside edges square to fit the outer body tube.
In the upper right is the included sandpaper and emery board for fin and nose cone shaping.
A printed ruler and a Q-tip is included for applying the engine mount glue.

Check out the launch lugs! These are also square, to fit a 1/8" launch rod.
The 20" diameter, eight sided parachute material seems to have been cut from plastic table cloth material.
The shroud line positions are punched in the parachute corners.
The fastener tabs are also different. They are normally used as price tags on rings in jewelry stores. These are made from Tyvek and won't tear.
The shroud lines are pre-cut. There is even a diagram showing how to tie a shroud line knot!

  2. I saw these kits online and never really stopped to think about all the weirdness that would be hiding inside. If I'm not mistaken it looks like the edges of the centering, uh, "rings" actually bow out a bit, to match the not-*perfectly*-square BT. Neato. And LOL at those launch lugs.

    Looking forward to this build.
