Nose Cone Shoulder Rounding - TIP

Some of the balsa nose cones I get have sharp square shoulders.
Don't insert these into body tubes until you've rounded the ends.

A square shoulder nose cone can damage the tube ends sometimes lifting the end of the inside spiral wrap.
Hold some 220 grit at a 45 degree angle and knock off the edge.

When first inserting a nose cone do so with a twist following the direction of the spiral wrap on the tube.
If your nose cone is tight this can prevent any lifting of the internal spiral wrap.
If the nose cone is still too tight, sand the shoulder down using a sanding block. Stay back and away from the raised shoulder lip.
