Friction Fitting Engines Part 1

Friction fitting engines with masking tape has been around since model rocketry began.
I remember reading some old Model Missile instructions that had you wrap rubber bands around the engine for a friction fit!

This is not my idea, I wish I knew who first suggested it.
Wrap your engines with tape going down the casing "barber pole" style.

Here's the second wrap of tape, overlapping the first.
Keep overlapping tape until you get the right resistance in the engine mount.
The idea is that instead of simply shoving the engine in, you turn the casing as it goes into the body tube. Think of threads on a screw.

This angled wrap of tape works even on a small MicroMaxx engine.
Here the engine is installed in the ASP Micro Wac Corporal.
