The nose cone has an off center weight to keep the boost vertical.
The Shuttle glider does glide well, in a lifting body style. At ejection, an elastic line lifts the rear wing raising the nose into a glide. Looking at it now, I probably should have shaped the Shuttle nose cap to fit the profile a little better.
