Estes Saros, K-54 Build, Fin Can Build, Part 8, Nose Cone Fill and Define

The nose cone shoulder wasn't very sharp either. I did the same treatment the adapter got. CWF, slid into the tube and turn.

This is a very different nose cone shape.
How can you define the inside angle on the lower end of the cone?

Do the best you can with sanding block. On the right, the ridge is rough and uneven. Some 400 grit was wrapped around a dowel and the edges taken down.

Back to the adapter - before this picture was taken, all the balsa parts got a shot of filler/primer and were sanded smooth.

The shoulder edge was still a bit rough.
Here the adapter is slightly pulled out of the tube. Fold some 400 grit and slip it into the open edge. Lightly sand to smooth out the rough shoulder.
