Dr. Zooch Saturn 1 SA-5 Build Part 13 Fairing

In Step 6, the CR2055F centering ring is slid down the top of the motor mount tube and a fillet is applied.

Because of an earlier fillet, my 2055 ring didn't go all the way down flat on the top centering ring. No problem, it'll be covered by the T55 body tube.

With the T55 S-IV body tube glued in place, the S-IV fairing shroud goes on next.

I sanded the edge of the CR2060F ring for a little more gluing surface for the shroud.
In the picture, you can see I wrapped masking tape around the tube to protect the finish in case I slipped with the sanding block.

The fairing shroud was dry fitted to be sure all was tight before gluing it closed.

A perfect fit probably isn't critical here. In the next step, the S-IV wrap is glued right on top of the fairing and should cover any small gaps.
