Did you ever install a screw eye only to find out later it is crooked?
It's not really a big deal, but here's a way to get it in straight and centered.
Take a few extra moments and mark the center with a light pencil mark.
Turn the nose cone and visually check the center from other sides. Adjust the mark to a closer center point.
Make a pilot hole with a small awl.
Stick it in the center mark making sure it is going in straight.
This pilot hole will help guide the screw threads straight into the center line of the nose cone shoulder.
