BMS/Alway Saturn V Build, Part 12, Upper Body Bands

I skipped ahead to Step 48 figuring it would be easier to apply the bands to the smaller tube first.

TIP: Mark the end of the laser cut self-adhesive strip. When the strips are cut off it's hard to tell which is the top or bottom backing.
Don't worry, you should have more than enough strips to apply on the model.
I've already filled the body tube seams with CWF and gave the tubes a good shot of filler/primer. I tend to remove most of the filler/primer when sanding.

With the filler/primer sanded down you can still see the laser-cut lines even though they are somewhat filled.

With the lines already on the tube it's easy to set the strips on straight. I started the strip end where the tunnel would go.

After the strip is set down, it got a good burnish with the back end of a Sharpie barrel.

Here's the upper smaller tube with the strips in place.

The ends will be trimmed so the tunnels will sit flat on the tube.
