BMS/Alway Saturn V Build, Part 5, Nozzle Assembly

I did have to sand down the ring inside for it to slide down onto the lines on the nozzle shroud.

The top (with the narrower laser cut side) was marked so I didn't sand out the slight inside taper.

The small notch in the ring needed some cleaning up before the next step.

The pieces are set on masking tape with the sticky side up for a good shot of Duplicolor Filler/Primer. There is a slight grain in the plywood that should be filled.

A glue line was set down between the nozzle shroud lines.
The ring is slid into the glue line.

The small end of the turbine exhaust line is glued into the notch in the ring.
The lower notch on the vertical piece (left) had to be cut and raised so the tops were even. (right)

The turbine exhaust line goes right down the nozzle seam. Check for straightness before the glue sets up.
