Knots? Part 2

From recent TRF posts, here's some knot choices in order of popularity.
For tying off a shock cord to a screw eye, I like the look of the Duncan Uni Knot shown below.
Click on the knot names to go to the Animated Knots website.

BOWLINE
The most popular knot.

FIGURE 8 KNOT
While many like this knot, I don't see how it could tie off on a screw eye unless one of the loops goes through the eyelet.

Probably a great knot, it looks like a knot gone wrong!

When I was a Boy Scout we'd tie a rope to a post using two half hitches.

Again, lots of loops.

DUNCAN (UNI) KNOT
This one looks clean and simple. Both ends face down and it cinches tight. Probably my new first choice for a screw eye connection.

RAPALA KNOT
Another knot that looks like it was tied incorrectly.

LARK'S HEAD or COW HITCH
If you can visualize the red line as the screw eye eyelet, it probably works well.

These knots are just food for thought. Everyone has their preferences.
I make no guarantees these knots will work for you!
