Estes SR-71 Blackbird Build Part 4, Plastic Prep

The inlet/tailcone were cut using a few passes with my hobby knife. I didn't think a razor saw was needed.

The open back end of the tail cone was sanded round with some 220 grit wrapped around a dowel.
The edges were thicker near the mold seams.

The inlet cones still had some shallow areas after the molding seams were sanded off.
These low spots got a drop of medium CA.
After that dried the CE was sanded down and the hollows were filled.

The large nose cone sides were a little uneven.

The left pic shows the nose cone before,
On the right side is the shaped and a bit sharper nose tip.
