Estes SR-71 Blackbird Build Part 7, Bottom Shroud Gluing

Here's the bottom shroud sitting on the body tube.
Do a LOT of dry fitting on these, if you screw it up the model might go in the trash can.
I'm tracing around the cut out box once everything was in position.
The front end of the shroud is even with the extended tips of the inner wing.

TIP: You should bend down the side tabs before gluing the shroud onto the internal BT-50 tube.
You'll get a sharper bend and an easier to glue tab if you pre-bend the side tabs before the inner fin edge is in the way.

I tried a glue stick but it didn't give a strong enough bond.
Slide the nose cone in the front of the tube for another alignment guide point.
I'll follow the instructions and use a smoothed out thin coat of white glue.

Lining up all the tick marks and butting up to the nose cone base the shroud was burnished down using a clean dowel.
