On TRF, somebody found a listing of all my shock cord mount posts on rocktreviews.com -

Did you ever get that feeling that maybe rocketry has taken over all your spare time? Could be worse - could be the banjo.
I think the forum member who researched your shock cord postings is a talented newcomer whose build thread I've been following. He's a retired mech. engineer and self confessed "CADMonkey". He saw a thread where someone asked if anyone had tried to do a tri-fold shock cord mount with Kevlar instead of rubber or elastic for the shock cord. I remarked that you had recently posted on that subject while building the Apogee payload altitude rocket. In typical engineering design fashion, he researched the topic from every angle and incorporated it into his design. You should see his CAD drawings: they are pure works of art. There's another new member posting some jaw dropping designs, though he hasn't posted the last few weeks. Good to see such talented designers on the forums: they stimulate interest and discussion, and inspire new ideas and builds. Laters.
ReplyDeleteHi BAR,
DeleteI saw those posts, that was an impressive engine mount CAD drawing. I really have to get into CAD. Seeing drawings like that are inspiring.
Could be worse....Could be an accordion!!
ReplyDeleteHi Ed,
DeleteI was a real chick magnet - I played the banjo, accordion and bagpipes.
