Semroc IQSY Tomahawk Build Part 15 Detail Wraps

The fin plates are printed on 110 lb. card stock.

Pre-crease the fold lines before cutting them out.

Round the center area of the plate in the heel of your hand with a dowel. The curvature will help match the body tube.

Apply a thin coat of white glue to the back and press in place.

Use the sharpened tip of a clean dowel to press the plate in place and into the root edge.

The upper black band was printed on 24 lb. paper.

This picture shows a light black "test" print to be sure the wrap was long enough to fit around the tube.

The back was hit with spray adhesive and it was wrapped much like a Dr. Zooch kit.

This could easily be printed on decal paper and wrapped.

Or, you could spray paint the black band and make a decal of the bolts and antenna.

If you have an Alps printer you can use your graphic software and make the bolts silver instead of the gray I drew.

I haven't added the row of 12 bolts to the nose cone yet, I'll have to wait until I need to print up more decals. Rather than waste half a sheet, I usually gang print decals when I have more than one model ready for them.
