Estes Mini Mars Lander Build #0881, Part 1, Parts

Here's how the kits were bagged in 1986.
The back of the bag was printed, you couldn't really see what parts were in the kit.

Parts seemed pretty good.
I was surprised to see a streamer. I would expect a model with delicate fin/legs to have a parachute - We'll see.

No embossed parts like on the larger model. The decals will add some detail.
Parts of interest:
One thick die-cut card stock sheet makes up most of the fin/leg construction. I should be glad it isn't balsa.
The nose cone is a rare one, the PNC-60MX. It was only used in a few kits, the MX Missile and Geo Stat LV.
Above the nose cone is one of the old style lead nose cone weights.

To the right is the thin die-cut card stock piece. These are trim pieces for the fin/legs.
