Estes Little Joe 1, #7255, Build Part 10, Shroud Prep & Forming

The adapter is laser cut on card stock.
Be sure to knock off the hold down tics. I cut them off with a knife, then smoothed the nub with sandpaper.

The sides can be cleaned up by very lightly running some 400 grit over the edges. Don't sand off too much or change the diameters.

As usual, the shroud curve form was formed by using a dowel in the heel of my left hand.
The shroud card stock stays still while you press the dowel in an round arc, like the shape of a piece of pie.

The glue down tab is glued on the inside to make a hidden joint.
When the other side butts up against this edge there is very little seam to fill.

Wipe off the edges of the centering rings to remove the laser cutting ash.
