The sliced segment was wrapped around the marked tube to transfer the fin positions onto it.
I wanted to be sure the fins would be evenly spaced around the main rocket body with the split sleeve in place.
The fin lines were extended down the split tube sleeve with an aluminum angle.
The low end of the fin line was continued under the edge of the body tube to align the fin trailing edge bottom.
Double fillets were applied.
The top edge of the sleeve butts up against the end of the half round tunnels.
You can see how the extended sleeve length will protect the nozzled (and details to be added) on a hard landing.
The 1 3/4" long x 1/8" diameter lug was filled with CWF before gluing onto the fin can sleeve.
The lug was glued on at a fin and body tube joint.
You can see the darken CA glue stain along the inside edges of the body tube sleeve. This was done early on for strength.
