Estes Thor Agena B Build Part 39 Detail Gluing

The engine mount was glued in with 15 minute epoxy.

This gives some extra time to be sure of positioning. Epoxy won't allow the mount to freeze up in the wrong place like some white glues can.

Here I've place a piece of paper between the tunnels. It was folded in half and marked at the crease for a center reference. When the engine mount was slid in place, the nozzle seam was lined up with the center crease mark on the paper.

I wanted to center the nozzle shroud seam to be hidden by the turbine exhaust.
If you were to look on the turbine exhaust straight on, it would almost cover the nozzle shroud seam.

Look down the tube to glue on the vernier nozzle housings. They should line up with the tunnels running down the body tube.

The housings were placed just slightly inside the body tube edge to be sure they would clear the fin sleeve.

The nozzle edge looks a little rough. Some white glue applied with a Q-tip will hold down the "fuzzies".
