The sides were cut to 1 3/16" long as the instructions directed.
But, to fit down the back of the turbine exhaust I had to cut the sides down to 3/4" long.
EDIT: Apparently, the instructions measurement should have been 13/16". In the Estes instructions there was a space between the 1 and the 3 in the copy.
It might have been just me and this model, who knows? All models will have different fitting parts.
The V shaped wire was set in place and white glue fillets were transferred with a toothpick tip.
Note I used white glue. Those small blobs of glue will shrink and be clear after drying.

I'll bet the instructions were printed wrong and the length of the wire was supposed to be 13/16".
ReplyDeleteHi Rob,
ReplyDeleteYou are probably right, that could have been a misprint. 13/16" is really close to the final 3/4" long wire height I ended up using.
