The body tube was marked for fins using the marking guide from the kit.
The root edges of both fins were set next to their alignment lines.
There is a 1" space between the lower and upper fins.
I needed to sand the body tube to the white skin under the primer.
But, leave the primer on the body tube where there is the 1" space between the fins.
Enlarge the picture to see the pencil tick marks. I sanded a little inside the leading and trailing edges of where the fins will be glued.
Two lugs are glued in line down the body tube, centered between two fins.
The lower lug is 6" from the end of the body tube.
The top of the upper lug is even with the joint of the two body tubes.
I sanded off the primer down to the tube here too.
Again the pencil tick marks show where the sanding stops right inside the ends of the lug location.
