AVI Nike Tomahawk Build Part 6 Adapter Shrouds

Here's how the shrouds looked after printing out on 110 lb. card stock
The shrouds were made in the "Tools" section at:
www.payloadbay.com

The shrouds were glued together and set on their  "circles" to check their roundness.
I still haven't cut the adapter rings out on the outside lines.

I decided to go with a double thickness of the shroud, or gluing one shroud inside another.
My other alternative would be a single thickness of card stock and maybe some balsa ribs for internal support. Simply doubling up the shroud thickness is easier and will be very strong.

Check out the fit of the top inside shroud edge. It actually "steps" and should fit the 20mm tube very well.

To be sure the shroud stays round and centered, it is drying on the 20mm body tube and the flat top of the centering ring mat board.
