Midget Clone Build Part 9 Transition

By dry fitting the mount and a fin on the BT-50 tube you can see how long the transition needs to be.
The trailing edge of the fin will be flush with the end of the engine mount tube.

A good fitting card stock transition will actually roll over the end of the centering ring a small amount. By overlapping the centering ring slightly it supports the shroud better.

The mount was slid back out of the BT-50 tube to show the adjusted length of the shroud.

The length of the transition (as close as I can figure it by eye) is .635" long.

The BT-20 and BT-50 diameters and the .635" length were put into the transition tool at PayloadBay.com:

I printed three on 110 lb. card stock. Out of the three assembled shrouds I'll pick the best fitting transition.
