Midget Clone Build Part 14 Shroud Seam Fix

A small amount of white glue was set over the raised seam.
If you can, you'll want a little bit of the glue to get under the raised edge.

Wipe off most of the wet glue on the outside.
Roll a clean dowel over the glued raised joint.

The card stock will be a little pliable from the glue and you can mold the seam back down onto the edge of the 20/50 ring inside.
Remember in an earlier post the 20/50 ring was under the shroud edge for a little extra support?

This rolling over with the dowel should set the edge down enough to get rid of the raised joint.

There is a joint edge on the shroud. I've drawn over it with a pencil so you can see it.

Set the side of the fin root edge against that raised seam and it will go against the face of the fin. Nobody will ever see the shroud seam edge. It's now covered by the root edge and later, a glue fillet.

Before gluing, some primer was scraped off for a better glue joint. Notice the scraped line is right to the side of the raised shroud edge. This is where the root edge is glued, covering up the shroud edge.
