Quest Magnum Sport Loader #3012 Build, Part 12, Engine Mount Mask
Before the main body is painted the painted black engine mount will have to be masked off.
Masking tape will have to be tucked into the tight recess around the engine tubes. Masking tape was stuck down on each side slightly overlapping the main air frame tube. Using tweezers the overlap was tucked over the sides.
Small pieces of tissue paper was tucked into the tightest corners.
Larger pieces of tissue were stuffed into the rest of the open, exposed centering ring halves and tubes.
Now it's ready for the main orange color
The payload section wasn't glued together to allow easier painting.
The ends of the payload tube had small pieces of masking tape set in the eds, sticky side out.
A piece of copy paper was rolled into the tube and taped to the pieces already in the tube.
The nose cone and adapter were taped together.
Another piece of copy paper was rolled and taped to the adapter shoulder.
The blue shoulder ring isn't glued onto the adapter shoulder yet.
Tape applied to the blue ring might peel a layer off the blue ring when it is removed.
