Quest Magnum Sport Loader #3012 Build, Part 4 Engine Mount C

The half moon centering rings are glued 1/2" from either end.

I found it easier to mark just the sides of the white engine mount tubes and center the small ends of the rings next to the pencil lines.

The inset picture shows some finger pressure on the ring ends. They tend to lift on the outside ends.

The small end of the ring layers try to open up.
I used my long tweezers the close them back up, pressing them into the glue.

The instructions show glue fillets around the rings.
Look close and you'll see how the fillets don't get too close to the engine hook. I also don't bother trying to get glue in between the tubes. There just isn't any way to smooth it out.
Too much glue in a tight area tends to dry and leave bubble holes.

Both of the blue engine blocks fit the BT-20 engine tubes perfectly.
One block was notched and the Kevlar tied on.

The two engine cluster mount is finished.
