The nose cone is easily scored and cut around the recessed lines.
A thin ring is removed and discarded.
On the left is the payload section from the Quest Courier.
The inset picture shows the same nose section with the heavy walled body tube section added. This makes the payload area large enough for two eggs.
Below the adapter is the thick blue coupler to fit the larger diameter tube on the Magnum Sport Loader.
The nose cone did have some recessed molding seams.
These were filled with a bead of medium CA glue. Sand the dried CA with 220 grit followed by 400 grit.
What holds the nose cone on the payload tube? It looks like the nose cone has no shoulder.

DeleteThere is a black coupler that is glued inside the nose cone with CA glue. The coupler was very tight and had to be sanded for a better fit.
The next post (Part 8) shows the coupler.
