This is a technique suggested in a TRF post by Todd (Bradycros on TRF)
The filler will be "locked" into the seam with thin super glue.
I set a drop of CYA on a scrap piece of card stock. In the picture I used the backside of some old sandpaper.
Dip a Q-Tip into the wet glue and rub it down the (raised) filler in the seam.
This locks the filler in the body tube seam. Now it'll have little chance to be knocked out of the seam when sanding.
Continue around the tube with the super glue on the Q-Tip until you've covered every inch of the spiral seam.
It's only necessary to lay CYA on the seam filler, not over the entire tube surface.
Keep it thin and as smooth as you can.
With the CYA dry you can easily sand it smooth with 400 grit on a sanding block.
Check the seam surface against a bright light and sand off any shiny glue.
Using CYA on the filler has pretty much eliminated having to repeat the seam filling two or three times.
