Quest Cobalt Clone Part 10 Nose Cone Prep

If you ever fly the Cobalt with anything more powerful than a Quest A6-4, you'll want to open up the hole in the back of the nose cone shoulder to install clay weight.

Start widening the hole with your hobby knife.

Increase the diameter of the hole with a half round needle file.
Here I'm using my diamond file, it's much better than a standard metal file.

Here's the widened rear hole.

Enlarge the picture and you might be able to make out some of the clear CYA glue in the light reflection.

The nose cone shoulder required two wraps of masking tape to fit the 40mm body tube.
