Estes V2 Build Part 22 Prepping the Servo Pods
The servo pod area was cut out of the fin template.
This was set on the fin being sure the outside edges of the fins were flush.
A pencil line was drawn inside the cut out area for equal positioning on all fins.
The metal edge of a ruler was used to guide the razor blade edge scraping away the primer to the bare wood.
Do one side, flip over the fin and scrape the other. Keep the blade inside the pencil lines.
The primer was scraped down for give a better gluing area.
This shows the scraped area, just slightly smaller than the "footprint" of the servo pod.
The servo pods will be sprayed with grey primer and sanded before gluing onto the fin.
