No I hadn't thought about that one. I recently got more 1340 fin cans in two Eliminator kits from the recent Estes sale. Now if I could find the Enerjet Egg Crate nose cone and adapter it would be a fun project. I know Estes used them in other models.
Hi Bill, I don't know about the TARC assortment, that Enerjet egg capsule did turn up in the 1988 Eggspress model. http://www.ninfinger.org/rockets/nostalgia/88est038.html
I did find the parts at http://www.erockets.biz/. The nose cone is BNC-20H, the payload tubing is ST-20, and the transition is the SEMROC BALSA REDUCER #13 TO #20 SEM-BR-1320L. The main airframe tubing is ST-13.
Have you thought about doing an Enerjet 1340/20?

Is the Egg Crate capsule the one in the Estes small TARC parts assortment?

Love this build, thank for sharing
ReplyDeleteOne of the most beautiful model rocket designs ever created, in my humble opinion. Truly beautiful and aesthetic.

ReplyDeleteThose parts I mentioned above are for the Enerjet 1340/20. The airframe part is the same for the 1340.
DeleteThanks Jack,
DeleteI appreciate the info. I don't know if I'd build a balsa version. I'll keep an eye out on Ebay for the Enerjet plastic egg capsule.
