Cyclone Build FINISHED!

Here's the finished CYCLONE!
The longer adapter / coupler needed a wrap of masking tape for a good fit.

Be ready, the performance of the helicopter recovery will be better than you would expect.

I almost lost the upper unit with just a 1/2A3-2t!
This Cyclone model will soon be produced as a kit by Odd'l Rockets.

  1. I built one of these and thank goodness someone saw where the upper section landed. Of all the rockets I launched that day the parts of this rocket landed the furthest down field. The upper section landed past a fence and into pasture lands - much further than I would have guessed. If you launch one of these, have another person to watch and retreve the lower section, while you track and bring back the upper section - or you will only retrieve one section or need to get lucky like I did.

    1. Hi Scott,
That's why I recommend the 1/2A engine for first flight. The Cyclone can easily be lost with a full A engine. Everybody who launches one is very surprised how it almost hovers.
