I went ahead and filled the SRB plugs with thinned Carpenter's Wood Filler.
Notice I only filled the square back and rounded front. Only the round front and flat rear will be exposed on the finished model.
After the filler was dry, it was sanded smooth with 400 grit sandpaper.
These plugs are to be split in two lengthwise.
I marked down the length with my aluminum angle.
The pencil line was carried over the top connection the two half lines on the sides.
