
Here you cut a 1" length off the remaining T-55 tube to make a coupler.
The tube is slit lengthwise and set in the remaining length of T-55 tube. Mark the overlap with pencil.

With the tube slit lengthwise, it's a little floppy and weaker now.
I found it easier to cut down the pencil line with scissors.
Look closely at the picture and you can see I cut just to the right of the pencil line. This will insure a tight fit in the body tube.
I can always sand the cut edge down with a block if it turns out to be too tight.

This shows the coupler dry fitted (no glue yet) in the T-55 tube.
